1 Samuel 8:1-3
"And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel. 2 Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abijah: they were judges in Beersheba. 3 And his sons did not walk in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment."

SCENE ONE

(the village square)

[Instrumental Vamp - Under Dialogue]

["A Little Bit Here and a Little Bit There"]

(SAMUEL is seen 'handing off' his position as Judge to his two sons, JOEL and ABIJAH. As his two sons walk out the door they 'high-five' each other, looking back and thinking they have pulled the wool over their father's eyes.)

SOLOMON

Now SAMUEL was a man appointed by God to oversee and govern His people Israel and from a very young lad he had served faithfully in this position. SAMUEL, who was now quite old and looking to retire, turned his position over as Judge to his two sons. His sons however did not quite follow in their father's footsteps.

(a robber steals a bag of money from one of the people - chase Scene)
