The Kings
a new musical in two acts by Dennis McCorkle

Writing a musical by any standard is a tremendous endeavor for anyone to even consider, let alone getting a production company to invest the large amounts of time and money needed to produce this type of theater. The Kings is no different. Even though I personally consider this work as one of the finest music productions I have written, the play is still as the saying goes, a musical in search of a theater.
     Henceforth, until such time as someone steps up to plate and is willing to commit the needed resources, I do not want the work which has been expended not only by myself, but also by the dedicated and talented cast of singers who basically volunteered their time and talents to make this initial offering a reality, go to waste. It is a musical production worth hearing.
     In the following sections you will be able to download and hear all songs (for personal use only) and read the lyrics. If you or your group are interested in using any of this material in a public performance or recording, I respectfully request that you contact us prior to any production so that appropriate licensing can be issued. Backing tracks for all the songs are also available by contacting us.
